HOW TO FIND THE BEST FIT FOR KIDS' GLASSES
Finding the proper fit for your child’s eyewear can seem overwhelming. However, with a couple of simple measurements, you can ensure your child gets a pair of glasses with the perfect fit.

GETTING THE CORRECT MEASUREMENTS
The easiest way to get measurements for new glasses is to use your child’s current pair of glasses as a reference—if they fit well. Located on the inside of the temple are the measurements for lens width, bridge width and temple length. If these numbers are no longer visible, you can measure the frames yourself with a few easy steps.

DETERMINING PUPILLARY DISTANCE (PD)
The pupillary distance, also known as PD, is the distance between the centers of the pupils of the eyes. This measurement is important because it correctly centers the lenses within the frame, making sure your child’s eyes match up with the center of their new glasses. Most children will have a PD within 41-55 mm.
- Download and print our free PDF ruler
- Hold the ruler against your child's browline (remember to measure in millimeters)
- Align the ruler’s 0 mm mark with the center of the left pupil
- The millimeter mark that aligns with the center of your child’s right pupil will be the PD
See? Pretty easy, right? Now that you have all the numbers you need, it’s time to move on to the fun part—choosing the perfect frame!
